本実験では、血管内皮細胞・平滑筋細胞が骨延長においてBMP2を産生することを初めて示した。骨延長においては、まず周囲の軟部組織で血管新生がおきて、その血管でBMP2が産生され、骨形成に働くことが示唆された。また骨形成においては、血管由来のBMP2、周囲軟部組織由来のPIGFが大きな役割を占めるのではないかということも示唆された。
We firstly showed that vascular endothelial cells and vascular smooth muscle cells produce BMP2 during distraction osteogenesis. During distraction osteogenesis, angiogenesis occurs at soft tissues around bone at first, which cells produce BMP2.It could promote bone regeneration. And it is showed that BMP2 from vascular cells and PIGF from soft tissue play an important role in bone formation.
