日本人の若者が海外で働く理由を解明するために、上海・バンコク・デュッセルドルフにおいて調査を実施した。若者を海外就職へと駆り立てた要因としては、1)国内労働市場の悪化によって若者の就労環境が厳しくなったこと、2)人材紹介ビジネスの発展によって海外での求職が容易となったこと、3)海外の日本企業経営の現地化が進んでいないため日本的経営スタイルが色濃く残っていること、4)日本的経営スタイルのうち就労に関しては海外就職の方が年齢や性差による分断が小さいため、日本人女性は働き方として日本での就職よりもより魅力的と感じている、といった点が明らかとなった。
In order to examine the reason why young Japanese prefer to work abroad, field survey was conducted in Shanghai, Bangkok and Dusseldolf. The findings are summarized as follows: 1)Deteriorated economic conditions placed younger Japanese in worse working environment, 2)Development of personnel placement service made young people easy to find jobs in oversea countries, 3)Japanese MNCs are less localized, and have strong labor demand for Japanese speaking workers, 4)As for the human resource management, Japanese MNCs in oversea countries have less discriminative hiring policy with respect to gender and age, Japanese women feel more welcomed when working abroad.
