本研究ではプロトン伝導性有機結晶や高分子複合体について、物質内部の局所構造解析を行い、プロトン伝導のメカニズムの解明を行った。得られた局所構造やプロトン伝導メカニズムの情報を物質設計に取り入れることで、更に高いプロトン伝導性を示す材料開発を目指した。イミダゾールを用いたプロトン伝導物質においては、イミダゾールの等方回転運動がプロトン伝導の重要な役割を果たすことが分かった。そこで、イミダゾールの等方回転運動を高精度で解析できる重水素NMRスペクトルのシミュレーション解析法を開発した。イミダゾールの運動性を向上させる試料調製により、試料のプロトン伝導性を向上させることに成功した。
In the present work, the detailed analysis of local structure and dynamics in the proton conducting organic crystals and polymer composites including imidazole were performed to elucidate the mechanism of proton conduction. We tried to develop high proton conducting materials using material design based on the information of local structure and proton conduction mechanism. The isotropic rotation of imidazole molecule was found to play an important role in proton conduction. So simulation method of deuteron NMR spectrum for detailed analysis of isotropic rotation of proton carrier molecules was developed. The high proton conduction materials were obtained by improving mobility of imidazole molecule.
