本研究課題は、現代アイスランド語の自動詞と他動詞の交替を扱った研究である。主要なトピックとして、(1) 形態的関連のある自動詞・他動詞の交替パターン、(2) 接尾辞-stをもつ動詞の意味特性、(3) 衣類の着脱表現における自動詞構文と他動詞構文、(4) 天候の動詞に見られる自動詞構文と他動詞的構文、を取り上げ、記述的研究を行なった。(1) (2) は形態的関連のある動詞の自他交替に関する研究で、(3) (4) は特定の意味領域における自動詞構文と他動詞構文をめぐる研究である。
This is a descriptive study of transitive-intransitive alternations of the Modern Icelandic verbs. The following are the main topics dealt with: (1) morphological transitive-intransitive alternation patterns, (2) semantic properties of the verbs with the suffix -st, (3) transitive and intransitive constructions in the expressions of dressing and undressing, and (4) intransitive and transitive-like constructions with the meteorological verbs.
