天然の有機無機複合体(バイオミネラル)に倣う、温和な条件を用いた高分子/無機結晶複合体の構築が次世代環境低負荷材料のために求められている。本研究では濃厚高分子ブラシをテンプレートに用いた有機無機複合材料の開発と、結晶成長に与える影響を調べた。感温性高分子ブラシを用いたところ、薄膜状の複合体が得られ、また、ナノファイバ状炭酸カルシウムが配向を揃えて成長する事を明らかにした。
I report a new approach to the formation of unidirectionally oriented fibrous calcium carbonate crystals using a surface-initiated thermo-sensitive polymer brush of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) above the lower critical solution temperature (LCST).
