抗体遺伝子座の多様性を作る遺伝子AIDの活性制御因子の単離を試みた。AIDに物理的に結合するタンパク質の中にそのような制御因子があると仮定して、候補を探索し、AIDとの機能連関が示されるかを検証する手法を用いた。発現ライブラリーによるアプローチから3つのAID結合タンパクを同定したが、RNA干渉法での機能連関の証明には至らなかった。これら3つの候補については、AIDの機能制御について更なる解析が望まれた。
