本研究の目的である１．装置開発と実証，２．共同研究体制の構築，３．大気ナノ粒子の特性分析について，下記の結果を得た。１．粒子径別サンプラを改良し，様々な環境条件（濃度，湿度，温度）の大気ナノ粒子を捕集可能な装置を開発し，実証試験を通して使用方法を検証した。２．国内外の定期観測体制を整備し，東アジアと東南アジアで連携する研究者ネットワークが確立した。３．（１）金沢１サイトの５年以上の連続観測，（２）北陸地方３サイトの２年間の連続観測，（３）１０ヶ所以上の短期集中観測（キャンペーン）の段階に分けて議論し，全般に季節変動よりも場所の違いの方が大きく，ローカルな発生源の影響が大きいことを明らかにした。
1. Development of airborne nanoparticle sampling technology: Airborne nanoparticle sampler has been developed and revised by experience of researchers in the network. 2. Development of young researchers collaboration network of researchers: More than 20 researchers from more than 10 countries in East and Southeast Asia has joined in the network to investigate the airborne nanoparticles using common device and procedure of the sampling. 3. Investigation of airborne nanoparticles in East and Southeast Asia: Ambient PM0.1 mass concentration showed larger difference among sites than seasonal change. Particle concentration and chemical components found to be affected from the biomass burning and diesel exhaust which appeared to different size range.
