Note (General): 生物の相対成長の仕組みに関する研究を行った。具体的には成長を制御する普遍的な転写制御因子Ykiと相互作用する因子の探索、成長に関わるmicro RNAであるbantamとinsulin/IGFシグナルの成虫原基間における活性の違いを定量的に調べるシステムの構築、インシュリン/インシュリン様成長因子と協調的に働くimaginal disc growth factors(IDGFs)の機能解析の３点を主要な研究課題として実験を行った。
We studied the mechanism of relative growth of organisms. In particular, we focused on (i) the identification of new factors that interact with the universal growth-regulating transcription factor Yki, (ii) construction of systems that quantify the strength of the activities of the growth-controlling microRNA bantam and the insulin / IGF signals in tissues and (iii) the functional study of imaginal disc growth factors (IDGFs), which are supposed to interact with the insulin / insulin-like growth factors and regulate imaginal disc proliferation.
