本研究は，子どもの科学的な思考力や表現力を育成することを目指し，具体的な観察・実験を通した自由記述課題の解答を自動で評価するシステムの開発を目的とした。システムは, web版とデスクトップ版の二つである。課題は，観察・実験を動画で提示するもので，小学生用と中学生用，それぞれ12問を作成した。システムの操作は，課題選択，動画による課題の提示，自由記述による解答，自己組織化マップによる評価，ビデオによる解答の解説，といった手順である。システムの利用を通して，生徒の科学的な思考力や表現力を高めることができると考えられた。
The purpose of this study is to develop the automatic assessment system for improving ability of students’ scientific thinking and expression. The scientific problems related to observation and experiment are asked to answer by free description in this system. The system has two versions. One is web version and another is desktop version. The system has 12 problems in each level of elementary school and junior high school. The problems are presented by video. The way of operating the system is as following. Selection of problem, presentation of problem by video, answer by free description, evaluation by the self-organizing maps, commentary of the correct answer by video. The students’ ability of scientific thinking and expression is expected to be improved by using the system.
