Note (General): ブレオマイシン誘発性強皮症マウスおよびTSK/+マウスにおける抗CTGF抗体の治療効果を検討した。抗CTGF抗体をブレオマイシンと同時に投与した群、ブレオマイシンにより線維化を誘導した後に投与した群、TSK/+マウスに投与した群では、コントロール群に比べ有意に線維化の減少を認めた。以上より、抗CTGF抗体は皮膚線維化を抑制する効果があることが示され、CTGFを直接誘導するのでない動物モデルにおいてもその効果をもたらすことが示唆された。
We investigated antifibrotic effect of antibody to connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) in an animal model of skin fibrosis. Anti-CTGF antibody reduced skin fibrosis in a bleomycin-induced scleroderma mouse model and a tight skin mouse. It suggested that anti-CTGF antibody is capable of blocking the development of skin fibrosis in an animal model not induced by exogenous application of growth factors.
