本研究課題では、「探求の共同体」フレームワークに基づいたCMC ベースのプロジェクト学習支援システムを開発し、評価した。本システムは社会的存在感の可視化機能、チャット機能、ログイン時間表示機能とコンセプトマップ作成機能から構成される。先行研究、ならびに研究代表者による調査結果に基づいてデザインし、それぞれの機能が「探求の共同体」の構成要素である社会的存在感、認知的存在感を高め、学習が活発になることが予想されるものである。効果検証の結果、形成的評価と実践的評価を通じて、社会的存在感、認知的存在感を高め、発言のしやすさ、他のメンバーから認められること、議論の整理統合、などの学習活動を促進していることが示された。
This study aims to develop and evaluate a CMC tool for the support of project-based learning in out-of-class, based on “CoI(Community of Inquiry) Framework. The tool consists of four parts: social presence mapping, chat display, log-in time display and concept mapping, which combine to enhance social and cognitive presences and encourage learning behavior, such as active discussion, found in previous research and investigation for this system design. Evaluated in terms of social presence and contribution to learning, each function of this system is shown to have a positive effect on learning such as perceived ease of utterances, acknowledgement, integration of group members’ ideas through formative and practical evaluation.
