本研究では，知的財産保護政策の政策決定過程と経済成長の関係を動学的なマクロ経済モデルを用いて分析した。分析の結果、特許保有者は，自らに有利な知的財産保護政策を実現させるために，政府に対してロビイングや政治献金を行うインセンティブを持つ一方で，政府も，政治献金などを通じてより多くの利得を得るために，保護政策をより強化することが示された。また本研究では，利潤における献金比率の上昇は知的財産保護政策の強化を促し，研究開発を促進することを明らかにした。
In this study, I examined the relationship between the policy decision process of intellectual property policy and economic growth using a dynamic macroeconomic model. As a consequence, I found that while patent holders have incentives to make lobbying and political contributions to governments in order to realize their own favorable patent policy, the government also gains more benefit through political contributions. In addition, my research clarified that a higher fraction of political contributions encourages innovation and the government chooses the stronger patent protection.
