赤ワインポリフェノールのアルツハイマー病(AD)に対する効果を検討するため、ADモデルマウスに赤ワインポリフェノールの1 種であるケルセチンを経口投与した。ケルセチン投与によって、AD モデルマウスの体重は増加したが、生存率、運動機能、認知機能、脳病理でのAD 変化に有意な差を認めず、ケルセチン経口投与によるAD 治療は難しいものと考えられた。
