子宮内膜症性卵巣嚢胞から発生する癌化にはp53の不活化、KRAS遺伝子活性化の2 hitに加え、c-mycの活性化が必要であることが示唆された。bcl2、PIK3CA、phospho-Aktの関与については、これらの下流でいずれもmycが活性化されており、myc経路に集約される可能性があると思われた。
Ｍalignant transformation of endometriotic epithelial cells required overexpression of c-myc or phospho-Akt or mutation of PIK3CA in addition to dysfunctional p53 and mutated KRAS. Since overexpresison of phospho-Akt or mutation of PIK3CA lead to activate c-Myc by its phosphorylation, c-Myc activation in ovarian endometrioma might play a key role in transformation in the presence of dysfunctional p53 and activated ERK pathway.
