ゾレドロネート投与後に生じる発熱の機序を明らかにしようと試みた．10症例中9例に発熱がみられた．投与前後で得た血清は全て、単核球をゾレドロネートで刺激後に採取した上清は38℃以上の高熱3例、37.9-37.0℃の微熱 2例、36.9℃以下の無熱1例を用い、サイトカインを測定した．血清では、無熱の症例では前後での変化に乏しかったが、その他の症例ではIP-10、MCP-1、GROが誘導されていた．微熱症例と高熱症例との明らかな差異はみられなかった．上清の検討でも同様であった． 37度以上の発熱の有無での比較を行うことが必要と考えられたが、現在までには発熱の予測因子を明らかにできなかった．
The aim of this study was define the mechanism of fever after Zoledronic acid(Zol) administration.9 of 10 cases experienced fever.All the serum samples obtained before and after Zol administration were used cytokine analysis.Supernatant samples of mononuclear cells after stimulation by Zol were selected (three over 38 degrees, two 37.9 - 37.0 degrees, and one 36.9 degrees or less). Cytokine levels of the case with apyrexia were almost no change after Zol administration. IP-10, MCP-1, and GRO were elevated in other cases.The clear difference between low grade fever cases and a high fever cases was not seen. Results of analysis in supernatant was also the same. More cases without fever were required. The predictive factor of fever after Zol administration was not clarified.
