本研究は、看護師によるうつ病者の自殺予防につながる有効な治療的アプローチを開発することを目的とする。大学病院外来で予約制の相談外来を設置し、うつ病者と研究者間のナラティブから認知行動療法を用いて患者にアプローチした。その結果、否定的な自動思考を患者自らが徐々に修正していき、6~10回のセッションで自殺念慮が改善されるという治療的効果を6名に確認した。
