1 アルキン-アレニルシクロペンタンを用いた分子内[7+2]環化付加反応アレンの末端にシクロペンタンを有するアレニルシクロペンタンとアルキンとのRh(I)触媒による分子内[7+2]環化付加反応では、環歪みエネルギーの殆ど無い単純なシクロペンタンが速やかに開環し、二環性のbicyclo[7.4.0]化合物が効率よく得られることを見出した。本反応は前例の無いものであり、C-C bond activationに新たな展開を提供したものである。2 アレニルシクロプロパンとアルケンとの分子内環化異性化反応アレン末端に3員環を導入したアレニルシクロプロパンとアルケンとの反応では、連続する3つの相対立体配置が完全に制御されたbicyclo[4.3.0]誘導体が得られる新規反応を開発した。また、反応部位である二重結合の位置を変更した場合にも、二重結合の異性化を伴って同様の環化成績体が高立体選択的に得られることも見出した。3 アレン-ニトリル体を用いた分子内Pauson-Khand型反応(PKTR)の開発側鎖をベンゼン環で固定したアレン-ニトリル体をRh(I)触媒と処理すると、分子内Pauson-Khand型反応(PKTR) が進行して、ベンツオキシインドール誘導体が効率よく得られた。これは不活性なニトリルをPKTR に利用した最初の例である。現在、ベンゼン環のテンプレート効果が無い基質においても反応が進行することを予備的検討で見出した。
