電子機器等から放射される高周波（GHz帯）電磁波のポインティングベクトル（エネルギーの流れ）の空間分布を計測する手法を開発した。メタサーフェス構造を利用することで、電磁界ベクトルの2次元分布計測センサを考案し、ポインティングベクトル分布計測・可視化システムを構築した。また電磁波ノイズ源周辺におけるポインティングベクトルの振る舞いを詳細に解析し、波源から放射された電磁界エネルギーがどのように伝搬し、センサに結合して計測されるかを調べた。
A novel measurement technique was developed for Poynting vector (electromagnetic energy flow) distributions of radio waves emitted from electronic devices at GHz frequencies. A two-dimensional array of electromagnetic vector sensors was formed on a metasurface structure, and a measurement and visualization system for Poynting vector distributions was constructed. Based on a detailed analysis of Poynting vector behaviors around a radio wave source, propagation and coupling of electromagnetic energy between the source and the sensors were investigated.
