• Note (General): 金沢大学工学部; 1.断層運動に伴う岩盤における変位が地表面変位となって埋設ライフラインに影響を与える場合の、表層地盤特性について模型実験を通して検討した。すなわち、テーブルリフトを用いて土槽中の模型地盤に逆断層による断層変位を再現し、実験を行った。その結果、地盤の剛性が大きい場合は地盤変状の及ぶ範囲(影響範囲と呼ぶ)は広範囲に及ばないが、地盤の剛性が小さい場合は影響範囲が大きくなることが明らかとなった。2.塩化ビニル管を用いて地表面断層変位を横切る地中埋設管の挙動を、上記のテーブルリフトを用いた隆起土槽を用いて検討した。その結果、硬い地盤に埋設してある管では、断層近傍の上盤側において大きな曲げ応力による被害が発生し、下盤側においては引き抜け被害が発生する可能性が示唆された。一方、軟らかい地盤においては、曲げ応力は分散される傾向があるが、断層変位が極めて大きくなった場合には、被害が広範囲に亘る可能性のあることが示された。3.個別要素法を用いて断層運動に伴う地表面付近の地盤変状に関する解析と、埋設パイプラインの挙動に関する解析を行った。2.で示した模型実験を、個別要素法を用いて再現したところ精度良く再現することが出来、個別要素法の有効性が確認できた。さらに、実地盤を対象に解析を行ったところ、1.で得られた結果と同様な結果が得られた。今回は2次元モデルによる解析を行ったが、さらに3次元に拡張して検討する必要がある。; The study deals with large ground displacements induced by fault movements and its effects on pipe damage near surface fault rupture. A vertical ground displacement induced by fault movement appeared at a surface ground extensively in the 1999 Chi-Chi Earthquake in Taiwan. Its stretch was about 80km and the maximum vertical ground displacement was about 10m. Buried pipelines across the scarp suffered severe damage in the vicinity. According to our field survey, the affected area was limited in the hard surface ground condition although the vertical displacement was great. On the contrary, the vertical displacement was small but the affected area was relatively large in the soft ground condition.The experiments using a shear soil box and table lift were conducted concerning with the affected area and its effects on pipe behavior. A PVC pipe was used in the experiments. The test results showed that great bending stress was occurred at the pipe buried in hanging-wall side under hard surface ground condition. The pipe buried in footwall side indicated the possibility of pull out damage. On the contrary, the bending stress of a buried pipe was dispersed under soft surface ground condition.A preliminary analysis using the DEM was conducted to verify the test results.
