量子トンネル効果の全く新しい理論的解析方法として、非摂動くりこみ群を用いるというのが本研究計画の目的である。特に、多自由度の系、相互作用のある粒子の系、についての適用を行い、非摂動くりこみ群の方法の有効性を示したい。多粒子系でのトンネル効果の解析を始めるために、最も簡単な例として、2重井戸型ポテンシャル中の2粒子の系を考えた。これは、1粒子が2次元の運動をしている、とも見る事ができるので、多次元の例ともなる。この2粒子の間に相互作用がある時、果たして、トンネル効果は強くなるのか、弱くなるのかを調べた。2粒子の間に単純な多項式で記述される相互作用を加えた時のエネルギーギャップの変化を、繰り込み群方程式を解く事によって求めた。相互作用を摂動とした時の1次摂動の結果と比較して、繰り込み群の解が適切な結果を与えている事を確認した。しかし、トンネル効果が強くなるか弱くなるか、という情報に結びつけるためには、いわゆる有効ポテンシャルと物理量の関係を励起状態と関連させて解析する必要があり、それを遂行中である。トンネル効果で最も興味があるのは、ダイナミックなトンネル現象であるが、それを扱う事は簡単ではない。今年度は、シュレディンガー方程式およびネルソンの確率過程解釈による波束の運動の解析方法を開発した。それによって、いわゆるトンネル時間の問題に対して、定点観測という概念を持ち込んで定量的な評価を行い、観測時間の平均値という物理量で見ると、トンネル粒子は自由粒子よりも早く到着する、ということを導いた。
