1.正常肝内胆管系におけるアポムチンの発現分布正常肝(組織学的)35例を用いて、免疫細織学的に肝内大型、隔壁、小葉間胆管および細胆管でのアポムチンサブタイプの蛋白レベルの発現を検討した。結果として、肝内大型胆管ではMUC3アポムチンが、隔壁、小葉間胆管および細胆管ではMUC6アポムチンが生理学的に分布する事がわかった。また、In situ hybridization法を用いたアポムチンmRNAの検討では、MUC3、MUC6の蛋白レベルと一致した発現とMUC1mRNAの肝内大型・隔壁胆管での発現を認めた。2.慢性肝疾患の増生細胆管におけるアポムチンの発現の変動ウイルス性慢性肝炎47例と原発性胆汁性肝硬変(PBC)28例で、アポムチンサブタイプの蛋白とmRNAレベルの発現を検討した。結果として、ウイルス性慢性肝炎では小型胆管や細胆管におけるMUC6アポムチン発現は蛋白、mRNAともに増加し、その程度は肝炎の活動性に比例していた。一方、PBCでは小型胆管での発現は増加するものの細胆管での発現は軽度で、両疾患の増生細胆管に質的な差異があることが示唆された。3.末梢型肝内胆管癌、肝硬変合併肝内胆管癌、混合型昆肝癌におけるアポムチンの発現小型胆管が発生母地と考えられるこれらの癌について、それぞれ10例,4例,16例でアポムチンサブタイプの蛋白とmRNAレベルの発現を検討した。結果として、肝硬変合併肝内胆管癌と混合型肝癌は共通して高率のMUC1とMUC6アポムチン発現を示していた。以上の結果より、肝硬変合併肝内胆管癌と混合型肝癌はMUC6アポムチン発現が明瞭な増生細胆管より発生する可能性が示唆された。
