本研究の目的は,生徒のコミュニケーションスキル,特に喫煙や飲酒などの望ましくない行動をすすめられた場合のコミュニケーションスキルを行動観察によって評価する方法を開発することである。具体的には,ロールプレイングを用いて,実際に子どもが「喫煙,飲酒をすすめられた場面での断る様子」をビデオカメラで撮影し,その映像から生徒のコミュニケーションスキルを複数の評価者によって観察評価することであった。これまでの予備調査において,生徒の行動観察評価の信頼性に問題がみられた「ノンバーバルな行動に関する評価規準」を再検討し,観察評価者の一致度が高まるような評価規準となるように研究協力者等との検討を踏まえて評価規準を修正した。しかし,残念ながら,性別,教職暦を考慮して選別された37名の学校教員(観察評価者)によって行動観察評価の信頼性等の検討の結果からは,喫煙,飲酒防止教育の評価指標としておおむね活用可能であることが伺えたものの,継続的な改善の必要性が残された。また,コミュニケーションスキルに焦点をあてた教育プログラムを試作し,予備実験授業を行って研究協力者と共に検討を行なった。その結果,実際の学校において授業を進める上での教育プログラム上の改善が求められる点等が明らかとなった。
