江戸時代の養生文化から3.11震災後までの保養プログラムまでの健康観の歴史的変遷の分析に際し、1990年代に人文地理学者Wilbert Geslerが提唱したTherapeutic Landscape批評理論を援用した。また、江戸時代養生書目録の作成に当たって、刊本のみならず、従来の養生研究に言及されていない、写本しか残されていない養生書の存在を見出した（『養生問對上』（天理図書館特別本）を翻刻して報告した）。また文芸の視点による養生書の特徴分析を報告した（『申楽免廃論』）。『養生要論』『続養生要論』の注釈・英訳を行った。
In this study I showed the concept of therapeutic landscape which was developed by Wil Gesler in the early 1990s to be an insightful and effective approach for studying closely the process of healing after the earthquakes hit northeastern Japan and the catastrophic meltdowns at Fukushima on March 11, 2011, explored how the current hoyo treatment resonates with the historical practice of health culture in Edo period of early modern Japan.In the meanwhile, there are indistinct date about the publications and possessions of Yojo books. And there are fewer studies that have paid attention to unknown anonymous writers or writers excepting doctor. According to the researching of Yojo books' publications, this study also provided an overview of, Yojo books' publications, and analysis a few less known Yojo books which written by various fields. This study also contributed to modern Japanese translation and commentaries on Yojo books, Yojoyoro and Zokuyojoyoron.
