本研究は不斉触媒の開発および光学異方性に優れた複合材料の開発のために、らせん高分子基板の作製を行っている。既に研究代表者が予備的な結果を得ている高分子ブラシを用いる無機結晶の結晶成長制御の研究で得られた知見を基に（CrystEngComm. 2010, 2014, Polym. J. 2014）、この結果をさらに発展させた新しい光学活性有機／無機複合体材料の開発を、特に高分子合成に焦点をあてて行うものである。
In this research, we have developed a helical polymer brashes for the development of asymmetric catalysts and composite materials with excellent optical anisotropy. Based on the findings obtained in the previous study of Organic/Inorganic hybrid materials using polymer brushes, which the we had already reported preliminary results (CrystEngComm. 2010, 2014, Polym. J. 2014), We prepared a new optically active organic / inorganic composite materials.Especially, we have developed novel living polymerization methods of helical polyphenylacetylenes and succussed to prepare the helical polymer brush on Au substrates.
