本邦では心血管疾患、脳血管疾患による死亡率は増加傾向であり，その発症リスク予測は重要な課題である. Computed tomography (CT)検査によるカルシウムスコアは，CT画像上で，冠動脈における石灰化体積をもとに計算されるが，冠動脈以外のカルシウムスコアで各疾患発症リスクが予測可能と考えた．本研究では，目的達成のため以下を計画する．1)人工知能を用い，CT画像の石灰化を冠動脈，心臓弁，大動脈弓部などに自動で区域分類し，区域別カルシウムスコアを算出するシステムを構築する．2)区域別カルシウムスコアと各疾患発症リスクの相関を明らかにする．
