軟らかい金属の疲労き裂は固執すべり帯(PSB)から発生することはよく知られている。しかし、PSBの形態と疲労挙動との関係は必ずしも明らかではない。本研究ではエレクトロンチャネリングパターン(ECP)法を取り入れて銅単結晶および双結晶の静的変形および疲労挙動について考察した。1.引張りの予ひずみを与えた銅単結晶について、引張り-圧縮の疲労試験を行ない、疲労挙動について検討した結果、以下の事実が明らかになった。(1)予ひずみにより疲労寿命は増大した。(2)予ひずみはPSBの分散を引き起こした。(3)疲労き裂の発生と成長速度は予ひずみによって著しく減少した。(4)疲労特有の転位組織の形成は予ひずみによって阻害された。2.制限視野エレクトロンチャネリングパターン(SACP)法により静的変形に及ぼす粒界の影響について検討した。その結果以下のことが明らかになった。(5)本手法により粒界近傍での塑性変形挙動を評価することができた。(6)粒界の影響域は粒界でのひずみの適合性に強く依存していた。(7)粒界の影響域は引張り変形量の増加とともに増大した。
It has been well known that in soft metals fatigue cracks nucleate at persistent slip band (PSB). However, the relation between the feature of PSB and fatigue behavior is not so clear. In this study, electron channeling pattern (ECP) method was applied to discuss about both tensile deformation and fatigue behavior of Cu single crystals and bicrystals.1. Fatigue behavior of Cu single crystals subjected to tensile pre-straining was studied by means of push-pull fatigue test.(1) It is found that pre-straining caused the increase of fatigue life.(2) Pre-straining caused the fragmentation of PSB.(3) Both nucleation and growth rate of fatigue cracks was prominently reduced by pre-straining.(4) The formation of characteristic dislocation structure observed only in fatigued specimens was disturbed by pre-straining.2. The effect of grain boundary on deformation behavior of bicrystals was studied by means of selected area electron channeling pattern (SACP) method.(5) Plastic deformation behavior near the grain boundary could be evaluated by this method.(6) Grain boundary affected zone (GBAZ) depended strongly on the strain incompatibility at the grain boundary.(7) GBAZ increased with the increase of tensile deformation.
