研究代表者(林田)は1989年に滲透媒質方程式のCauchy問題の弱解のSobolev空間上での正則性を示したが,それは空間1次元の場合,Barenblatt解の正則性と丁度一致している。今回,林田は球対称解について限定して,空間次元が2又は3の場合に弱解の正則性が,Barenblatt解のそれに前回よりも近いことを示した。研究分担者,児玉は複素ユークリッド空間C^nの一般複素エリプソイドEの正則自己同型群からの特徴付けの問題を研究し,Eの境界∂Eが実解析的な場合には懸案の結果を得た。研究分担者,小俣は離散的勾配流を用いて,放物型方程式に対応する問題を取り扱った。特に自由境界問題での取り扱いでは,時刻無限大で,不安定な定常解に収束する例を示した。研究分担者,一瀬はKac作用素とSchrodinger半群の差の作用素ノルム及びトレースノルムを時間tのベキでの評価を与え,また,作用素ノルム及びトレースノルムでのTrotter-katoの積公式を示した。研究分担者,田村は古典統計力学のN-vector Heisenbery modelにおける2点相関関数のRandom Walk表示を改良した。
