今年度の研究課題に対し以下の結果を得た。Gをn-次元離散Moebius群、pをGの放物固定点、またG_pをその固定部分群とする。このとき以下のことが成り立つ。(1)n≧2にたいし、pが(G、G_p)不変な球接近傍を持てば、pはDirichlet点である。従ってn=2、3のとき(即ちGがFucks群Klein群のとき)放物固定点はすべてDirichlet点となる。(2)n≧4のときにはDirichlet点でありながら、球接近傍を持たない放物固定点を含む群が存在する。(3)放物固定点pのGによる軌跡の接球半径のなす列を{t_m}とする。このときpが球接近傍を持てば{t_m}は有限列か、あるいは0に単調に減少する。以上の結果のうち(1)と(3)は全ての次元の離散群に対しなりたつ結果であり、また(2)はFuchs群やKlein群には成立しない、高次元離散群特異の現象である。これらの結果は、近年特に研究が進み、Nicholls-Waterman(1992),Watermann(1993)は、n≧4のときには、放物固定点でありながら、Garnett点、あるいは球接極限集合であるような群を発見している。以上の結果は現在執筆中の二編の論文にまとめられる。また今後の研究の展望として、一般次元離散Moebius群の残留極限集合、とりわけ幾何学的無限な蜘蛛の巣群の第二残留極限集合についてのエルゴード理論的なアプローチを試みてみたいと考える。
