法令文が論理式で記述できることを利用して、学習者が知的財産法の演習を行う過程を問題解決過程モデルとして提案した。このモデルに基づいて、計算機上で法律演習問題を計算できるようにし、学習者が問題の解を入力した過程と計算機が正解を計算した過程を比較し、学習者に問題解決過程のどの部分で誤ったかをフィードバックできる学習支援システムを設計・開発した。さらに学習者自身が論理式、論理回路を組み立てて解を導くユーザインタフェースを持つシステムに改良、再設計したところ、工学部学生には親和性が高く、学習効果や満足度が向上した。
