- 2007-2010年度科学研究費補助金(若手研究(A))研究成果報告書 課題番号：19682003 研究代表者：新里貴之 (鹿児島大学埋蔵文化財調査室助教)徳之島トマチン遺跡の発掘調査をもとに、南西諸島の先史時代葬墓制の精査・解明を行なった。その結果、サンゴ石灰岩を棺材として用い、仰臥伸展葬で埋葬し、同一墓坑内に重層的に埋葬することや、装身具や葬具にサンゴ礁環境で得られる貝製品を多用することが特徴と結論づけた。ただし、これは島という閉ざされた環境ではなく、遠隔地交易を通した情報の流れに連動して、葬墓制情報がアレンジされつつ営まれていると理解される。This study analyzes prehistoric burial system in the Ryukyu Archipelago through archaeological research on tomachin site on the Tokunoshima Island. The study reveals that coffin are made of coral limestone, and supine position and multiple type structure are a main burial style, and multiuse accessories and funeral goods are obtained from coral reef environment. However, it is estimated that the burial system was not closed to environment, but it is arranged by synchronous information through long distance trade.
