放電プラズマ焼結法で、Ti-歯科用陶材の傾斜機能材料(FGM)を作製し、その物性の評価を行った。組成を段階的に傾斜させた傾斜機能材料について、ダイアメトラル引張強さの測定を行ったところ、メーカー指示で焼成した陶材単体の試料よりも、2倍ほど高い値を示した。また、FGM試料の破壊様式は、陶材の部分的な亀裂のみの破壊が測定した試料の半数以上で、他の試料でも陶材層の剥離は認められず、FGMの組成傾斜による機械的性質向上の効果が認められた。
Ti-porcelain functionally graded material (FGM) was produced by Spark Plasma Sintering and examined its mechanical property. FGM which consists of graded in stages was produced and its mechanical property was measured by diametral tensile test. The result showed value about two times higher than that of porcelain by firing according to manufacture instruction. And, more than half of the test specimens showed the partial fracture at the part of porcelain, and others were not recognized delamination of the porcelain. From these results, improvement of mechanical property of FGM was recognized by its compositionally graded.
