薬物の皮膚透過に対する毛嚢ルートの寄与率は、薬物の油水分配係数の減少とともに増大し、log Ko/ｗ<0でかつ分子量<500 Daの薬物では、毛嚢の寄与率がほぼ100％となることが明らかとなった。また、脂溶性がlog Ko/w<0の薬物は、短時間で毛嚢内濃度が一定となることが分かった。さらに、ピエゾ感圧アプリケーターと定電流付加デバイスを併用により、効率的に微少量薬物を毛嚢ルートを介して皮内送達でき、適用した薬物の皮膚透過性を促進することができた。これらの結果から、毛嚢内選択的デリバリーが可能となれば、新たな経皮薬物透過促進手段となることが分かった。　The contribution of hair follicle route against the total its skin permeation was increased with an increase of its lipophilicity. Almost one hundred percent of the contribution of hair follicle route against the total skin permeation was observed when a low molecular of hydrophilic drug (log Ko/w<0 and less than 500 Da molecular weight) was applied topically. In addition, a steady-state hair follicle concentration was observed in short time after topical application of lipophilic drugs (log Ko/w<0). Furthermore, combined application of a piezo applicator and constant voltage type iontophoresis could effectively deliver a small amount of drug into hair follicle and significantly improve the skin permeation. These results suggest that selective drug delivery to hair follicle with a piezo applicator would de useful to improve drug permeation through skin.
