• Note (General): 原子力機構では、溶液燃料を用いるSTACY(定常臨界実験装置)施設を「棒状燃料と軽水減速材を用いる熱中性子炉用臨界実験装置」に更新する計画を進めている。STACY更新炉の反応度制御は、現行STACYと同様に、炉心タンクへの給水量を調整する水位制御方式を採用する。この軽水(脱塩水)の水位制御における水面検知に関し、現行STACY(ウラン硝酸水溶液)で使用している電気伝導率変化検知式が使用できないため、浮力による水面検知式のフロートスイッチを採用する。STACY更新炉の安全運転のためには、その水面検知位置は、全水温範囲においても正確かつ確実に作動する必要がある。本書では、STACY更新炉の軽水使用温度範囲(常温$\sim$70$^{\circ}$C)におけるフロートスイッチ水面検知精度検証試験について報告する。; The Japan Atomic Energy Agency is conducting a reactor modification project of the Static Experiment Critical Facility (STACY). In the modification, STACY is to be converted from a thermal reactor using solution fuel into that using fuel rods and light water moderator. Reactivity of the modified STACY is controlled by the water level fed in the core tank as well as the present STACY. Regarding water level detection, however, a float-type water-feed-stop switch is adopted in the modified STACY because the electro-conductivity-type switch of the present STACY for uranyl nitrate solution cannot detect demineralized water used in the modified STACY. For safety operation of the modified STACY, the float-type switch needs accurate and reliable detection of water level at any temperature. This report describes a mock-up test on accuracy verification of the float-type water-feed-stop switch in whole range of water temperature (room temperature $\sim$70$^{\circ}$C) in the modified STACY operation.
