• Note (General): 日本原子力研究開発機構では、2000年3月に原子力委員会・原子力バックエンド対策専門部会の取りまとめた「長寿命核種の分離変換技術に関する研究開発の現状と今後の進め方」に基づき、高レベル放射性廃棄物に含まれる長寿命核種の分離変換技術に関する研究開発を進めてきた。本報告書は、分離変換技術の導入効果及びコストの検討状況、並びに、国際的な研究開発動向をレビューするとともに、分離プロセス及び核変換サイクルに関する研究開発の進展と今後の計画、並びに、大強度陽子加速器施設J-PARCの第II期計画である核変換実験施設をはじめとするインフラ整備の必要性について取りまとめたものである。; The Japan Atomic Energy Agency has been conducting research and development (R\&D) on partitioning and transmutation (P\&T) technology for long-lived nuclides in accordance with the Atomic Energy Commission's "Research and Development of Technologies for Partitioning and Transmutation of Long-lived Nuclides-Status and Evaluation Report" issued in 2000. The present report reviews the progress of the investigation on the benefit and the cost of the P\&T technology, the international trend of R\&D, the progress and the future plan of R\&D on the partitioning process and the transmutation cycle technology, together with the necessary infrastructure improvement including the Transmutation Experimental Facility as the Phase-II of the Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex (J-PARC).
