• Note (General): 微小試験片による照射脆化評価手法、とくに照射による破壊靭性の変化の評価手法を確立するために、最近のシャルピー衝撃試験法と破壊靭性試験法の進歩に基づき、これまでの受託研究により得られた高強度フェライトマルテンサイト鋼照射材料(微小試験片)のシャルピー衝撃試験データを検討し、以下の結果を得た。1、照射により生ずる破壊靭性の変化は、破壊靭性値が100MPa√mになる温度のシフト($\Delta$T100)により表される。この$\Delta$T100はシャルピー吸収エネルギーが41JでのDBTTのシフト($\Delta$T41)にほぼ等しい。したがって、微小試験片シャルピー試験結果から$\Delta$T41を評価することにより、照射による破壊靭性の変化を評価することが可能である。2、微小試験片のT41のM乗は、その吸収エネルギーが41/$\alpha$x[(Bb)の2分の3乗F/(Bb)の2分の3乗M](Bは試験片厚さ、bはリガメントサイズ)になる温度に相当する。ここで、$\alpha$x[(Bb)の2分の3乗F/(Bb)の2分の3乗M]は微小試験片の上部棚エネルギー(USEのM乗)からフルサイズ試験片のUSEのF乗を評価するための規格化因子であり、$\alpha$はUSEとともに増加し、$\alpha$$>$=0.65である。なお、USEの規格化に用いる破壊体積は、Bbの2乗よりも(Bb)の2分の3乗が有効である。3、T41のF乗とT41のM乗の間には、Mを寸法補正因子とすると近似的に次の関係式が成立する。T41のF乗-T41のM乗=M=98-15.1$\times$In(Bb)の2分の3乗Mの値はノッチ形状にも依存し、試験片寸法が小さいほど依存性が大きい。この結果は、ノッチの選択によりT41のM乗からT41のF乗を評価可能であることを示している。4、T41の照射によるシフト($\Delta$T41)は、フルサイズ試験片と微小試験片でほぼ等しい。この結果は、微小試験片の結果から、$\Delta$T41のF乗、したがって$\Delta$T100を評価可能であることを示している。5、以上の1$\sim$4の結果に基づき、これまでの受託研究により得られた全ての微小シャルピー試験片のデータに対して、USEのF乗、T41のF乗、$\Delta$T41のF乗及び$\Delta$T100の値を評価することに成功した。; In order to evaluate the radiation-induced shift of fracture toughness from Charpy impact test results for miniaturized specimens, all of the Charpy impact data on high-strength ferritic steels developed by JNC were examined on the basis of the recent progess on the Charpy impact and fracture toughness test methods. Main results obtained are as follows. (1)The radiation-induced shift of fracture toughness is characterized by the shift of the reference fracture toughness temperature, $\Delta$ T$_{100}$, where T$_{100}$ is the temperature at which the fracture toughness value is 100MPa $\sqrt{m}$. $\Delta$ T$_{100}$ is approximately equal to the radiation-induced shift of Charpy DBTT at 41J ($\Delta$ T$_{41}$), Therefore, $\Delta$ T$_{100}$ can be estimated by determining $\Delta$ T$_{41}$ from miniaturized Charpy specimen data. (2)The value of T$_{41}$ for miniaturized specimens, T$_{41}$ $^{M}$, can be determined as the test temperature where the absorbed energy is equal to 41/$\alpha$ x[(Bb)$^{3/2}$ $_{F}$/(Bb)$^{3/2}$ $_{M}$]. Here, B is the specimen thickness, b is the ligament size and $\alpha$ x [(Bb)$^{3/3}$ $_{F}$/(Bb)$^{3/2}$ $_{M}$] is the normalization factor to get the upper shelf energy of full size specimens, USE$^{F}$, from the mini-size USE$^{M}$. The values of $\alpha$ is larger than 0.65, depending on the USE of the material. It is also shown that the fracture volume of (Bb)$^{3/2}$ is more valid than that of Bb$^{2}$. (3)The following relationship appears to hold between T$_{41}$ $^{F}$ and T$_{41}$ $^{M}$ [T$_{41}$ $^{F}$ - T$_{41}$ $^{M}$ = M = 98 - 15.1 $\times$ ln(Bb)$^{3/2}$,] where M is the specimen size correction factor. M also depends on notch geometry and its dependence becomes large with decreasing specimen size. This indicates that the value of T$_{41}$ $^{F}$ can be estimated fom T$_{41}$ $^{M}$ by choosing suitable notch geometry.
