• Note (General): 中長期事業計画を受けて、平成11年度から本格的に実施されるFBR実用化戦略調査研究に先立ち、革新的技術を取り入れ、経済性目標を達成可能なナトリウム冷却MOX燃料大型炉概念の創出を行った。更に、ナトリウム冷却MOX燃料大型炉以外の概念についても、文献調査を元に高速炉システムの幅広い技術選択肢としての検討を予備的に実施した。(1)革新的技術を取り入れたナトリウム冷却MOX燃料大型炉(基準プラント)については、経済ポテンシャルを有する概念を複数個創出することを目標にして検討した。その結果、プラント概念:18ヶ(この内、2次系削除概念は4ヶ)及び系統設備のみの概念(例:燃料取扱設備のみ):4ヶ、並びにコ・ロケーションシステム概念:5ヶを創出した。(2)基準プラント以外に関しては、幅広い技術選択肢を検討する観点から、ガス冷却炉、重金属冷却炉、小型モジュール炉、水冷却増殖炉、及び溶融塩増殖炉について、文献調査に基づいて各概念の特性を検討し、技術的成立性(構造健全性(含耐震性)、安全性、製作建設性、運転性、保守補修性、特有の開発課題)を評価すると共に、実用化目標の4視点(軽水炉と比肩する経済性、資源の有効利用、環境負荷低減、核不拡散性強化)及び開発リスクの観点から評価した。その結果、1)小型モジュール炉として、経済性に優れた中型炉及び多目的汎用型の設計概念を代表するものとして超小型炉2)ガス炉として、冷却材がCO2、He及び燃料被覆形態が密封型、ベント型、被覆粒子の組み合わせ3)重金属炉として、鉛・鉛ビスマス設計及び運転経験豊富なロシアの鉛冷却炉4)軽水冷却として軽水冷却沸騰水型増殖炉及び超臨界圧軽水冷却炉5)溶融塩炉としてU-Puサイクルと整合した三塩化物溶融塩炉を今後検討すべき出発点として摘出した。; Prior to the feasibility study for fast reactors (FRs) starting from the 1999 fiscal year, planned in the medium and long-term program of JNC, preliminarily studies were performed on "Large FRs (Sodium cooled and MOX fueled) with innovative technologies as a Standard Plant" and "FR systems except sodium cooled, MOX fueled reactors". (1)Standard plant. The following concepts were created in respect of an economic goal for the commercialization. (a)The concepts of reactor and cooling systems: 18 cases (4 cases indude secondary system deletion concept) (b)The concepts of upper core structure and fuel handling systems: 4 cases (example: Fuel handling system) (c)The concepts of FR and fuel recycle co-location systems: 5 cases (2)FR systems except standard plant. Gas cooled reactors, heavy metal (Pb or Pb-Bi) cooled reactors and small scale or module type reactors were studied on the basis of literature. They were evaluated from the viewpoint of the technical possibility (the structure integrity, earthquake resistance, safety, productivity, operability, maintenance repair, difficulty of the development), the long-term targets (market competitiveness as an energy system, utilization of uranium resources, reduction of radioactive waste, security of the non-proliferation), and developmental risk. As the result, the following concepts should be studied for future commercialized FRs. (a)Small scale and module type feactor: Middle-sized reactor with an excellent economical efficiency. Small power feactor with a multipurpose design concept. (b)Gas cooled reactor: CO$_{2}$ gas cooled reactor, He gas cooled reactor (c)Heavy metal cooled reactor: Russian type lead cooled reactor (d)Light water cooled reactor: RBWR and super critical pressure light water cooled reactor (e)Molten salt reactor: Trichloride molten salt reactor which matches ...
