- 出版タイプ： NA繊維不融化回転照射装置は、有機のポリカルボシラン繊維から耐熱性炭化ケイ素繊維への転換において放射線不融化処理を行うものである。照射は、ヘリウムガス雰囲気下で電子線により繊維を巻いたボビンを回転させながら行い、繊維中に蓄積されたラジカルを不活性ガス中の熱処理により消滅させる。照射容器と熱処理容器には気密シャッターが設けられており、試料を空気に触れさせずに照射容器から熱処理容器へ移動できる。電子線加熱による試料温度の上昇を抑えるため、照射容器内壁の水冷パイプにヘリウムガス冷却用のフィンを取り付けた。ボビンに巻いた試料の線量は2MeV、0.5mA、ボビン回転数1rpmの条件で7kGy/mA・minであった。本装置は最大5kgのポリカルボシラン繊維を1度に照射できるもので、工業規模のパイロット装置である。
