• Note (General): 水深8020mの深海底(日本海溝最深部、理科年表による)に設置する無人基地用の動力源としての、NaK冷却又は、リチウム冷却の高速炉と密閉ブレイトンサイクルシステムを組み合わせた電気出力10kWeの高速炉システムの概念検討を行った。原子炉としては、米国で研究されている宇宙炉SP-100計画の1つの設計を用いた。高速炉システムを収納する耐圧殻は、チタン合金製で、形状は上部は内径1.9mの球で、下部は内径約85cmの円筒状である。原子炉よりの排熱は、以前から検討しているようにこの耐圧殻の厚み方向の内側から外側に向かって熱伝導させ、最終的に海水中へ放熱する方式を用いた。NaK冷却炉については、従来通りの炉容器出口冷却材温度720$^{\circ}C$のケースのみならず、550$^{\circ}C$のケースについても検討を行い、両者ともほぼ同じ設計が可能であるという結果を得た。従って、電気出力10kWeの無人基地用動力源は、現在の高速炉技術の範囲内にあると言える。; Conceptual deSign study of 10kWe power source for an unmanned base on a deep sea floor at the depth of water of 8.20m was performed by using a NaK and lithium cooled fast reactors and closed Brayton cycle syslems. The depth of water of 8.020m means the deepest point of the Japan trench. One of the space reactors of SP-100 Project was adopted in the conceptual design study. A pressure hull, made of titanium alloy. had the shape consisting of an upper sphere or 1.9m $^{ID}$ and an lower cylinder of about 85cm$^{ID}$. Heat removal from the reactor systems was by heat transfer to the sea water after thermal conduction through the pressure hull. In the conceptual design study of the NaK reactor system. a case of coolant temperature of 550$^{\circ}$C at the exit of a reactor vessel was performed as well as 720$^{\circ}$C of a previous design. Almost same designs were found to be possible for the two cases. Therefore, the power source of 10kWe for the unmanned base existed in the region technically possible by present fast reactor technology.
