Note (General)：: 日米協力で開発中のJFT-2M用TVTS装置では、入射レーザー光としてルビーレーザーを用いる。このレーザーの最大の特徴は高出力(20J,20ns)及び高品位(TEMooモード、0.3mrad以下の発散角)である。このレーザーは発振が安定であり、TVトムソン散乱に必要な条件を満足した。
