Note (General): 原研は、マレーシア原子力庁、インドネシア原子力庁及び日本原子力産業会議の協力のもとに、電子線の応用に関するワークショップをマレーシア(平成2年7月17日)とインドネシア(平成2年7月20日)とで開催した。本論文集は、これらのワークショップで発表された11の論文を収録したものである。日本における電子加速器の工業利用の動向、高エネルギー電子加速器の最近の進歩の紹介で始まり、マレーシア及びインドネシアにおける電子加速器の応用の可能性が述べられている。日本における電子線応用の実例としては、電線・ケーブルの橋かけとゴムの電子線加工が紹介されている。さらに、シンドネシアにおける低エネルギー電子加速器による放射線硬化に関する現状と問題点が述べられている。また、医療材料の滅菌と食品照射及び農業資源への電子線の応用も紹介されている。
