• Note (General): 本研究では、坑道掘削により周辺岩盤に形成された掘削損傷領域の割れ目の可視化を行うことを目的とした。幌延深地層研究センターの地下350mに掘削した直径4mの試験坑道を対象として、紫外線照射により発光する蛍光剤を添加した樹脂を坑道周辺の岩盤に注入し、掘削損傷領域の割れ目を固定した。これにより、割れ目を可視化して観察することに成功した。注入孔周辺で試料を採取し、紫外線照射下で観察を行い、割れ目の連結性や開口幅を分析した。結果として、割れ目の最大発達範囲は、孔口から約0.9m、すなわち坑道壁面岩盤から約0.75mの範囲であった。また、孔口から0.4mまでの範囲では割れ目密度が高く、0.4m以深では割れ目の間隔が広くなることがわかった。さらに、割れ目の開口幅を測定した結果、孔口から近いほど割れ目の開口幅も大きいことがわかった。特に、孔口から0.3mまでの範囲では、樹脂が浸透した割れ目が多く観察され、開口幅が最大で1.02mmであった。一方、孔口から0.3m以深は、樹脂が浸透した割れ目が少なく、開口幅は最大で0.19mmであった。; In this research, we performed the resin injection experiment at the 350 m Gallery of Horonobe Underground Research Laboratory in order to identify the distribution of fractures induced around the gallery owing to excavation. We also observed the rock cores obtained around the resin injection borehole under ultraviolet light. As a result, the extent of the development of EDZ fracture was 0.9 m from the gallery wall. In the depth within 0.4 m from the gallery wall, the density of the EDZ fracture is higher than the depth more than 0.4 m from the gallery wall. As a result of the analysis on the fracture aperture by image processing, the fractures with a large aperture (1.02 mm in maximum) were observed within 0.3 m from the gallery wall, while the maximum aperture was 0.19 mm in the depth more than 0.3 m from the gallery wall.
