Space Plasma Symposium FY2007 and FY2008
高比推力という特長をもつ電気推進機の大電力化は物資補給や有人探査計画にとって必須の開発項目の一つである．長期ミッションに対応しうる無電極イオン加熱手法として，高周波加熱と磁気ノズルを用いた電気推進技術があるが，今回，大型推進機を指向した大電力化を目指し，数10 kW レベルのイオン加熱実験と磁気ノズル加速を行った．水素およびヘリウムガスに対し，印加高周波電力を制御することで噴出イオン流の運動エネルギーを変化させることが実験的に示された．大電力高周波を用いたイオン加熱と加速研究の内容と，大電力化に伴って生じる問題点などについて報告する．
