サイズの大きなスペースデブリを回収するために, デブリ化した衛星構体とドッキングする必要がある. ドッキング方法のーつとして, テザー付アンカーを対象デブリに向け射出し, 結合する方法が提案されている. 本研究では, そのような方法のための基礎研究として, 金属弾撃ち込みに関する実験と解析を行う. アンカーとなる金属弾は貫通を避けるため後端を太く, さらに、貫入後の引き抜き強度を上げるため, 先端の軸部の一部を細くした形状とする. 本試験においては, 3種類の金属弾を使用し, 直角及び斜めの撃ち込み実験を行い, 金属弾の形状を検討する. また, 撃ち込みに関する解析も行い, 実験結果及び解析結果を比較し解析モデルの妥当性を評価する.
