Note (General): The component of shaft vibration, which rotates 2.5 times faster than shaft rotation, was observed during a Lox turbopump test. From the spectrum analyses of dynamic pressure around the inducer, the shaft vibration was assumed to be caused by the clouds of cavitation in backflow vortices. In this study, some visual observations around inducer were conducted and discussed about relationship of the shaft vibration and the clouds of cavitation in backflow vortices.
