Note (General): The Japan Space Exploration Agency (JAXA) is developing a hypersonic turbojet engine to realize Mach 5 or 6 cruise vehicles and reusable LEO transportation systems. Design and fabrication of a subscale turbojet engine of 1 kN thrust with an air precooking system have been continued. In 2005, we conducted performance verification test of a newly developed air-precooler, compressor, and a liquid hydrogen supply system for the subscale engine. Test results are briefly reported in this paper.
