Note (General): 21世紀の国内輸送のための旅客輸送機として、新しい概念のリフトファン･エンジンを装備する100席級のVTOL輸送機の概念を明らかにし、その技術的成立性の検討を行った。その結果、機体のほとんどの部分を複合材構造とすることにより、現在の輸送機やヘリコプターより静かな高亜音速VTOL輸送機が技術的に成立する可能性の高いことを確かめた。
A new concept of an advanced VTOL transport aircraft is studied and presented. The 100-passenger all composite aircraft, with separated core type lift fan engines and cruise fan engines, has a highly optimized configuration for high subsonic flight. It is estimated that the aircraft is much quieter than conventional transports or small helicopters and that the VTOL transport aircraft does not seem to present technical problems that could not otherwise be solved.
