Note (General): 物体後流のように速度一様でない超音速流中に置かれた物体の抵抗減少の問題は、切り離された下段ロケットによる上段ロケットへの追突を考えるとき重要な要素となるものである。このような場合の超音速後流のモデルとして最も簡単な2平行流を考え、その中の衝撃波伝播を扱うことによって航技研に於けるロケット段間分離実験結果を説明できることが示される。
For example in wake flow, remarkable drag reduction occurs nonuniform supersonic flow. This phenomenon is important to avoid collision from behind by separated booster. The most simple model for such flow is a set of two parallel flows with different velocities. Analysis for shock wave transfer between these streams gives a reasonable explanation for the results of experiments in NAL.
