Note (General): 繊維強化複合材料の力学的特性を評価する試験技術の確立を目指した研究として、炭素繊維強化樹脂複合材(CFRP)の引張特性試験方法に関する検討を行った。CFRPの基材構成は、強化繊維に高強度・中弾性率の特性を有する炭素繊維(T800H)を用い、母材はエポキシ系樹脂(3631)である。供試材料は、1方向繊維強化基材を対称積層による(0度/90度)(sub s)、(0度/90度)(sub 2s)および(0度/90度)(sub 3s)の直交積層CFRPとした。3種類の直交積層材について、静的引張特性試験および引張疲れ試験を実施した。引張試験における試験片形状の検討として、つかみ部の補強タブの先部形状を傾斜および直角とした場合を比較した。試験片の損傷状況および破壊様相の把握にX線透過探傷法を適用して観察した。
To establish a standardized test method for evaluating the strength characteristics of composite materials, tensile tests on CFRP were performed. Carbon fiber with high strength and intermediate/elastic/modulus was used for the reinforced fiber with epoxy resin. Test plates were three kinds of cross-ply CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics): four plies, eight plies and twelve plies, where all lamination numbers were symmetrical in respect of the unidirectional fiber reinforced prepreg. A straight sided coupon test piece was used, and the cases in which the tip shape of tab material for the grip portions was tapered and at right angle were compared. Static tensile strength tests and tensile fatigue strength tests of each cross-ply CFRP were carried out. Damage and destruction aspects of the test pieces were observed by an X ray radiography penetrative crack detection method. The tensile fatigue strength of cross-ply CFRP with lower lamination number was reduced. Due to adhesion peeling in the taper, the effect of the taper disappeared in the tip of the grip portion tab of the test piece.
