Note (General): 極超音速飛行実験(HYFLEX: Hypersonic Flight Experiment)は、航空宇宙技術研究所(NAL)と宇宙開発事業団(NASDA)が共同研究で進めている再使用輸送システムの確立を目的とした、宇宙往還技術試験機(HOPE-X)の研究開発の一環として実施された飛行実験である。本飛行実験機は、1996年2月12日(月)にNASDA種子島宇宙センター(TNSC)からJ-1ロケット試験機第1号機(2段式)により打ち上げられた。この実験は、大規模野外実験に相当することから、NALとしてはNASDA打上げ隊と連携をとりながら、独自の実験隊を組織して実験に臨んだ。本報告は、その実験実施体制についてまとめた。
Hypersonic Flight Experiment (HYFLEX) is one of the flight experiment series in the H-2 Orbiting Plane Experimental (HOPE-X) project, Japan's re-usable space transportation technology development project, and is the result of joint research by National Aerospace Laboratory (NAL) and The National Space Development Agency of Japan (NASDA). An experimental vehicle was launched from Tanegashima Space Center (TNSC) on February 12, 1996 by J-1 Rocket. This paper summarizes the system constructed by NAL to perform the flight experiment.
