Note (General): ベクトル計算機の性能を十分に引き出す技術として、種々のプログラム高速化技術がある。その高速化技術の1つとして最も有用な技術に多重DOループの低次元化技術がある。本研究はVP400システムを使用し、3次元ナビエ・ストークスプログラムLANS-3Dにこの高速化技術を適用し、各DOループ毎にスカラ処理時間短縮効果とベクトル処理時間短縮効果を解析し、この技術の有効性を示し、各DOループの特性から低次元化技術適用の可否を判断する基準としての定量化を与えた。
This paper investigates the efficiency of a programming technique which reduces the number of nests of DO loops to obtain longer vector lengths and higher vectorization ratios in vector supercomputers. The technique is applied to a three dimensional Navier-Stokes code, LANS-3D, and run on a Fujitsu VP-400. Scalar and vector processing times of the original and modified DO loops are compared and analysed. In addition, a criterion is proposed to determine the technique's effective applicability from using quantitative characteristics of the DO loops.
